Choose Instantly if you send cold email at volume from many inboxes: Growth is $47/month ($37.60 annually) with unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup, for 1,000 uploaded contacts and 5,000 emails a month. Choose lemlist if personalization and team access matter more: its Email plan is $69/month ($55 annually) with unlimited users and 50,000 emails a month, and LinkedIn steps need Multichannel at $109 per user ($87 annually). Instantly wins on inbox scale; lemlist wins on personalization, email volume per dollar and LinkedIn in one tool.
Prices were read from both vendors' pricing pages on 28 September 2026 at monthly billing. We make Warmerly, a third option covered near the end, and we say plainly where Instantly or lemlist is the better choice.

Pricing: the numbers that decide it
Instantly and lemlist meter different things. Instantly's Growth plan caps you at 1,000 uploaded contacts and 5,000 emails a month but lets you connect as many inboxes as you want, all warmed. lemlist's Email plan costs $22 more but allows 50,000 emails a month, ten times Instantly's entry cap, and lets the whole team in without paying per seat.
That flips the usual assumption that Instantly is always the cheaper option. If you send more than 5,000 emails a month, your real Instantly price is Hypergrowth at $97, and lemlist's $69 Email plan is cheaper for raw email volume up to 50,000. Where lemlist gets expensive is LinkedIn: Multichannel is priced per user, so a team of three is $327/month.
Cost by scenario
| Scenario | Instantly | lemlist | Warmerly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo sender, 3 inboxes, 3,000 emails/mo | $47 (Growth) | $69 (Email) | $19 (Starter, 5 mailboxes) |
| Team of 4, 20,000 emails/mo, email only | $97 (Hypergrowth) | $69 (Email, unlimited users) | $49 (Growth, 25 mailboxes) |
| Team of 3, email plus LinkedIn for each | Instantly plus a separate Aimfox subscription | $327 (3 x Multichannel) | $169 ($19 Starter + 3 x $50 LinkedIn) |
Sending scale: Instantly's home ground
Instantly is built for running a lot of inboxes at once. Unlimited email accounts with unlimited warmup means an agency can spread sending across dozens of mailboxes and domains, keep each one at a safe daily volume, and handle every reply in one unified inbox. For operators who think in terms of inboxes and domains, that model is hard to beat, and it is the main reason Instantly became the default cold email tool.
The limit to watch is contacts and emails, not inboxes. Growth's 1,000 uploaded contacts is tight for anyone running several campaigns a month, so most serious senders end up on Hypergrowth.

Personalization and LinkedIn: lemlist's home ground
lemlist made its name on personalization: custom variables, conditional content, and personalized images and landing pages that make a sequence feel written for one person. If your reply rates depend on emails that look hand-built, lemlist gives you more to work with than a volume-oriented tool.
Its Multichannel plan puts LinkedIn steps in the same sequence as email, which Instantly cannot do without a second product. For teams that want a prospect to see a profile visit, a connection request and an email in a planned order, that is a real advantage, at a per-user price.
Warmup and deliverability
Both tools warm mailboxes. Instantly includes unlimited warmup on Growth; lemlist uses lemwarm, its own warmup product, so check which plan includes it before you compare totals. Warmup builds reputation, but it does not tell you when something breaks. The checks worth running regardless of tool:
- Authentication on every sending domain: SPF, DKIM (2048-bit) and a DMARC record. Re-check after any DNS or provider change.
- Inbox placement tests across Gmail and Outlook before a big send, because open rates no longer tell you where mail landed.
- A ramp for new inboxes: two to three weeks of warmup, then raise daily volume gradually rather than jumping to full volume.
- Separate sending domains for cold outreach, so a reputation problem never reaches your main company domain.
Team access and collaboration
How each tool treats teammates changes the maths more than the headline price. lemlist's Email plan includes unlimited users, so a founder, two SDRs and a marketer can all log in, share templates and see replies for $69 a month in total. Once LinkedIn enters, lemlist switches to per-user pricing: every person who needs LinkedIn steps needs a Multichannel seat at $109.
Instantly's model centres on the workspace and its inboxes rather than on people. That suits an agency where one or two operators run campaigns for many clients, each on its own set of domains. Check Instantly's current plan page for how it handles extra team members and client workspaces before you plan around it.
Setting up either tool so it actually lands
- Buy separate sending domains for cold outreach (variants of your brand name), so your main domain's reputation is never at risk.
- Create two to three mailboxes per domain in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, rather than many on one domain.
- Publish SPF, a 2048-bit DKIM key and a DMARC record on each domain, and confirm all three pass before connecting the mailboxes.
- Warm every new mailbox for two to three weeks before it sends real campaigns, then keep warmup running at a lower level.
- Start campaigns at 20 to 30 emails a day per mailbox and raise slowly, watching bounces and replies.
- Verify every list before import, and remove anyone who has unsubscribed or marked you as spam.
Neither tool will stop you skipping a step. Most 'Instantly vs lemlist' debates that start with poor results end with a missing DKIM record or a brand-new domain sending full volume on day one.
When Instantly is the better pick
- You run many inboxes across several domains and want them all warmed on one plan.
- You are an agency or lead-gen operator for whom volume and inbox rotation matter most.
- LinkedIn is not part of your outreach, or you are happy running it in a separate tool.
When lemlist is the better pick
- You send up to 50,000 emails a month and want the whole team in one account at $69.
- Personalized images, conditional content and landing pages are part of how you get replies.
- You want LinkedIn and email in one sequence without buying a second tool, and can budget $109 per user.
- You want to trial it properly first: 14 days with no card.
Where Warmerly fits
Warmerly warms mailboxes and sends campaigns from them: sequences with email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp steps on one timeline, A/B variants, stop-on-reply, and one inbox for replies. Plans are flat per workspace with no cap on campaign sends: a free plan (1 mailbox, 100 campaign sends a month, no card), Starter at $19/month for 5 mailboxes and 5,000 active prospects, Growth at $49 for 25 mailboxes and Agency at $179 for 100 with API access. LinkedIn is $50/month per account instead of per seat. Deliverability is the focus: spam-folder rescue every 10 minutes, placement tests across five providers, and daily SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MTA-STS checks.
Where it loses: Warmerly is younger than both, with fewer integrations than Instantly and without lemlist's personalized images and landing pages. LinkedIn accounts have no free trial. If you keep Instantly or lemlist as your sender, Warmerly can run warmup and monitoring alone on the same mailboxes.
So which should you pick?
Many inboxes and high volume on one plan: Instantly. Personalization, a whole team on one account, or email plus LinkedIn in one sequence: lemlist. The lowest flat price with warmup, sending, LinkedIn and deliverability monitoring together: Warmerly. Whichever you choose, check authentication and placement before you blame the copy.
Frequently asked questions
Is Instantly or lemlist better for cold email?
Instantly is better for high-volume sending from many inboxes: $47/month for unlimited email accounts and warmup, up to 5,000 emails, or $97 for 125,000. lemlist is better for personalization and teams: $69/month for 50,000 emails and unlimited users, or $109 per user with LinkedIn.
Is lemlist more expensive than Instantly?
At entry, yes: $69 against $47. But lemlist's Email plan allows 50,000 emails a month against 5,000 on Instantly Growth, so above 5,000 emails lemlist is cheaper until you add LinkedIn, which is $109 per user on Multichannel.
Does Instantly have LinkedIn automation like lemlist?
Not natively. Instantly routes LinkedIn steps through Aimfox, a separate subscription. lemlist's Multichannel plan includes LinkedIn steps in the same sequence as email.
Do Instantly and lemlist both include email warmup?
Yes. Instantly includes unlimited warmup on Growth. lemlist uses lemwarm, its own warmup product; check which plan includes it. Neither makes daily authentication monitoring or multi-provider placement testing its core job.
Does lemlist have a free trial?
Yes, 14 days with no card. Check Instantly's pricing page for its current offer. Warmerly has a free plan with no card and a 7-day trial on paid plans with no charge until day 8.
Can I use a separate warmup tool with Instantly or lemlist?
Yes. Warmup works at the mailbox level, so a dedicated tool connects to the same Gmail or Microsoft account and runs alongside either. Your sender reputation lives at Gmail and Microsoft, so switching warmup tools does not reset it.
